The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA might be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed concerning the superior amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA sassa status services.

“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The support place created for intervention experiences a large influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it hard for that Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra means to help the servicing of all prospects and maximize usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
